This is a good spot for breakfast. Try the omelet combo, the veggie omelet, or the shrimp omelet. We also like their breakfast salads, like the grilled fish salad, the fajita salad, or the shrimp salad. For the kids, order the hashbrowns plate, the meat plate, the breakfast sandwich, the breakfast bowl, the all-meat breakfast, the fruit and pancake plate, or the express breakfast. Kids can also choose from tostadas, cheese French fries, or the Mexican burger.
If you dine here for lunch or dinner, try the enchilada or the seafood plates with a bowl of the fish broth. Fuegos is located at 518 N. Hobart St. They are open every day of the week starting at 8 a.m.
2. Verona Italian Bistro
If you’re craving good pizza, pasta, or chicken, choose this bistro for a great family meal. We suggest ordering the fried calamari or the fried ravioli to start. Then have a cup of the minestrone soup and a Tuscany salad. For the main meal, try the eggplant parmesan, the Tour Di Italy, the Zuppa Di Posillipo, the tilapia Florentine, or the chicken alfredo pizza. They also have good calzones, subs, stromboli, and ribeye.
For the kids, order the spaghetti or the meat lasagna. Be sure to finish off your meal with a slice of the tiramisu or the strawberry cheesecake. They are located at 1203 N. Hobart St. Visit them any day of the week between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m.
3. Jay’s Drive Inn
When you want a simple meal for takeout, visit Jay’s. You can choose from a variety of options for the whole clan at affordable prices that come with fast service. They have comfort food as well as vegetarian options. For the little ones, order the junior burger, the grilled cheese, the super dogs, the nuggets, or the chicken strips. For the grown-ups, we like the grilled chicken sandwich, the steak dinner, the cod fish dinner, or the popcorn shrimp.
The kids will love an ice cream cone, a sundae, or a milkshake for dessert. Jay’s is located at 924 Alcock St. and they are open every day with the exception of Sundays.
